NStyleFX Fashion Exchange

History

Nstyle was opened in April 2003 by a local Edmond family, Scott, Darlene, and Dave Wilkins. Dave runs the store and his mother, Darlene, works in store part time, does all the business paper work and makes sure the bills are paid.

After Dave got out of the army, he moved to Kansas to work. While living there he found a place to shop for the brands of clothes he wore. They also paid cash for his used clothes. After shopping there awhile, he became an employee and learned how the business worked.

While living in Kansas, Dave found out he had cancer. He moved back to Oklahoma to be near family and friends. He began to talk to his parents, Scott and Darlene, about the resale store in Kansas. After recovering from cancer, he finally convinced them to give it a try.

Our first store was only 600 sq ft and located close to UCO. A few months into the business we knew we needed a bigger store, so the hunt was on for different location. We found a spot at 2nd and Bryant, in Bryant Square. We wanted to stay close to the college, but being in a retail area has been the best thing for the business.
